For the Community

When you’ve worked hard and done well and walked through the doorways of opportunity, you do not slam it shut behind you. You reach back, and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed.

For those of us who have been members of the Canning community long enough to call it home, are familiar with the positive vibes created by the community that makes us proud to live in the Canning community. However, there is always room for improvement.

My skills will be useful in dealing with policy, technology and services to make an outstanding contribution.

With 25 years of business and community experience, I believe I can recognize community needs and be of service to the resident .

For Western Australia

The Diaspora in Australia is key to developing enduring people-to-people relations between the two countries. They are major influencers in the micro-level decisions of Indonesians (and vice-versa) that result in benefits at the macro-level to both countries and their respective economies. The Australian-Indonesian Diaspora recognize and respect the importance of other Diaspora within Australia and encourage greater engagement with all major Asian Diaspora.

As the National Regional Director of The Indonesian Diaspora Business Council (IDBC) and  Vice President IDBC Global . She has a valuable role it can play in building Western Australia-Indonesia community, business and government relationships.

For the Diaspora

Saraswati was the President of the Indonesian Diaspora Network Western Australia 2013-2015 at the election held on 12 April 2012.

She is very passionate about giving back to the community, and believe it is important to share her good fortune, knowledge and contribute to improving the lives of others.

As part of her commitment to giving back to the community and her profession, Saraswati has made a commitment and assisting Diaspora-to-Diaspora and her homeland.

Her local cultural knowledge and fluent Bahasa Indonesia clearly benefits existing people to people, business and government linkage, potential trade and investment for Australian and Western Australia producers, in developing contacts, assisting industry and government, and promoting and encouraging bilateral relationships.

Her expertise allows her to challenge, coach, and inspire business leaders to utilize current cooperatives with Australia and ASEAN country, and to enhance those ties, in addition to establishing and creating contemporary bonds.

The Indonesian Diasporas are spread throughout the world, and consist of Indonesian citizens, and citizens of other nations and persons of Indonesian descent. We are large, diverse groups of people, bonded by our connection and affection to Indonesia and our affection for our new country. The objective of the Diaspora community is ” To expand connections, to multiply opportunities and to promote shared prosperity for Indonesia and its Diasporas”. Saraswati continues to dedicate her time to promoting and serving the interests of Australian and Indonesian communities.
